Here is the interview that the CEEMR had with the Public Relations Manager of Warner Bros. Movie World Germany, Mrs. Antje Möller, on August 30, taking into account the questions our members wanted to ask her.
With the sunny weather, many parks in Europe seem to have a good attendance. Does Warner Bros. Movie World Germany have more visitors than other years due to the sunny weather and to special promotions?

We have a good season by now especially because of the good weather and our promotions like “kids for nix” and under considering of the bad economical situation in Germany.

Don't you think that the park should be bigger to have more places for the visitors when there are a lot of people in the park? Do you have any idea to solve this problem some people had on crowded days (to increase the capacity, make the park bigger...)?

At the moment we have no plans to increase the area of the park.

Is there still really place to expand, or is it only possible on the parking lot near Eraser? Would it be possible to expand on the location where there are many trees on the back of the Real Hollywood Stunt Show?

We think we have still enough places to expand on the area we have now. The trees behind the Stunt Show are absolutely no option.

Do you have any plan to implement some kind of Fast Pass / Fast Lane or Q-bot system (so that the visitors can avoid long lines)?

Not at the moment.

Could you tell us a few words about the competition with the parks in Germany? Is there a lot of competition (there are many parks in Germany)?

The density of population around Warner Bros. Movie World is extremely high, but the number of other leisure attractions is high too. The important point is that Warner Bros. Movie World is a unique theme park.
As it was said in a local newspaper, the park would like to build an Air Diver attraction next year and have family rides; furthermore there is a rumour on the internet about a new interactive dark ride in the Gremlins Invasion building for next year. Could you tell more about it?

The Air Diver will be build next year, but at the moment we don't give any more concrete information about the news for 2004.

How do you see the future of Warner Bros. Movie World Germany? Will it be more focused on the family rides and on the slogan "Hollywood in Germany" (instead of focusing on thrill rides)?

We made a big survey last year and the result was that our guests wish to have family attractions and Hollywood. The Hollywood themeing is the uniqueness of our park and therefore quite important.

Have you ever considered opening the park during the winter in the future (because there are many indoor rides and more and more European parks open in the winter)?

For the nearer future we have no plans like this.

As I saw during my last visit in June, the Never Ending Story ride had a few broken elements, is there a renovation of this ride planned?

Yes.

A few years ago there was an attraction called Cartoon Theatre in the building between the stunt show and Batman Adventure, why is it now closed? Is this building still used for something else and is there a possibility to create a new ride or show in this building?

We did already create a new "ride" in this building which opens only in October. The Cartoon theatre than becomes the Castle of Horror, our Halloween maze.
I also would like to know, what is the technical problem with the Lethal Weapon Pursuit ride why it has been closed nearly all the season? Is it an important problem? Will it be solved soon?

Yes, it is an important problem; otherwise we wouldn't have closed the ride for so long. We are still working on it but during the last days the ride was open at least for a few hours a day.

Could you tell me if the relations with the theme park enthusiasts are something important for you?

Absolutely yes, for the park it is important to have contact to those who are really fascinated. As you probably know we invite every year the German FKF together with other European fan clubs to visit us for a European Fan Day. For me personally it is important too, beginning my job at Warner Bros. Movie World I've been completely new in this business and the enthusiast helped me a lot to learn interesting facts and figures.
